327 Words is pleased to announce the 327 Words Studio 54 Disco Time Trial,a celebration of bikes, beer, and the hedonistic excesses that characterized the legendary discothèque, Studio 54, hangout of such notables as Andy Warhol, Liz Taylor, Mick and Bianca Jagger, and the incomparable pre nose-job Cher.

Racers, competing in a group time-trial format, will navigate the ups and downs of Seattle to stops commemorating disco classics like, “(Working at the) Car Wash,” “Macho Macho Man,” “Disco Inferno,” and “YMCA.”

Prizes—cash and bike schwag—will be awarded for fastest times, men’s and ladies’ divisions, as well as various runner-up positions, including, of course, DFL.

Prize sponsors and friends currently on tap include The Madrona Alehouse, New Belgium Brewery, Haulin’ Colin Trailers, 2020 Cycle, Swrve Cycling, Vapolution Vaporizers, Ahearne Cycles,SKS Germany, Crumpler Bags, Pilderwasser Unlimited,Harlot Wear, with more to come!

Don’t pass up your chance to ride dangerously through traffic, drink lots of fine New Belgium Beer, and achieve what Warhol himself famously called your very own 15 minutes of fame!

You’ll be Stayin’ Alive and Getting Your Groove Thang On because That’s the Way I Like It, Uh-huh, Uh-huh!

Friends and relations are invited to show up at the Madrona Alehouse sometime around 6:00 to join in the post-race festivities. With any luck, most cyclists will have returned by then and all should be ready to Boogie-Oogie-Oogie Till They Just Can’t Boogie No More or at least until the keg of New Belgium is tapped.
